As an addition to the lawsuit(s?) ICANN issued an Advisory Concerning VeriSign's Deployment of DNS Wildcard Service calling "upon VeriSign to voluntarily suspend the service until the various reviews now underway are completed"e;. I'd say that for ICANN, this is already a bit step, so let's see what happens.
